Plan costs
What will I be paying for?
Request the full price in writing, with separate amounts for the visit, medicine, tests, and later reviews. Compare the same items in each offer.
The examples below are about weight and diabetes medicines. They show why the medicine bill and visit bill need separate checks; they cannot price the care offer you came to check.
Compare the care fee with the medicine fee
The care fee
In a small sample checked September 26, 2026, online weight-care services usually billed monthly for care and charged separately for medicine.
Ask whether the fee covers later conversations and how repeat charges end.
The medicine fee
On September 26, 2026, medicine makers offered cash prices mostly from $149–$499 a month for certain weight and diabetes medicines.
Some rates were higher, and the product, strength, supply size, and refill timing affected the price.
Keep that price range in its place
The range covers several medicines and offers. It cannot tell you the price of your particular medicine, visit, or full care plan.
These maker programmes sell medicines to patients paying cash.
For example, semaglutide (Wegovy) tablets started at $149 a month, while tirzepatide (Mounjaro) pens started at $499 a month on September 26, 2026.
Ask whether there is a programme for the exact medicine being proposed, whether you qualify, and what its current price includes.
As of September 26, 2026, those cash payments sit outside insurance.
Cash purchases through these maker programmes do not count toward the insurance deductible, which is what you pay before your plan begins helping.
Your insurance plan does not include those cash purchases when counting your payments toward its yearly limit.
Ask your plan what you would pay through insurance before comparing that with a cash offer.
Look beyond the opening offer
Many cash offers and savings cards checked September 26, 2026 had terms ending December 31, 2026.
Ask for the price after any introductory period. Ask whether tests, delivery, or extra conversations add another charge.
